Overview

inetutils.com ("we", "us", "our") provides free internet utility tools. This policy explains what information is collected when you use the site, how it is used, and your rights regarding that information. We are committed to handling your data responsibly and transparently.

Information We Collect

We do not require you to create an account or provide any personal information to use our tools. However, certain tools work by processing data you submit or data inherent to your connection:

• IP address — When you visit the "Is my location being tracked?" tool, your IP address is read from the incoming request and passed to a third-party geolocation service (ip-api.com) to return location information. Your IP is not stored by us.
• Domain names and URLs — When you use tools such as the SSL checker, WHOIS lookup, website down checker, or DNS tools, the domain or URL you enter is sent to our server to perform the check. These inputs are not logged or stored.
• Browser information — The location tool also reads browser-supplied data (user agent, screen size, timezone, language) on the client side for display purposes. This data is not transmitted to our servers.

Third-Party Services

Our tools rely on the following third-party services to function. By using our site you acknowledge that your queries may be processed by these services:

• ip-api.com — Used to geo-locate IP addresses. See their privacy policy.
• Certspotter (SSLMate) — Used to retrieve SSL certificate information from public certificate transparency logs. Queries contain only domain names.
• rdap.org / rdap.iana.org — Used to look up public WHOIS/RDAP domain registration data.
• Google DNS-over-HTTPS — Used for DNS lookups (email authentication and DNS propagation tools). See Google's DNS privacy policy.
• Google AdSense — We display advertisements served by Google AdSense. Google may use cookies and similar technologies to serve personalised ads based on your visits to this and other websites. You can opt out via Google's ad settings or aboutads.info.
• Cloudflare — The site is hosted on Cloudflare Workers. Cloudflare processes request metadata (IP address, user agent) as part of providing the hosting infrastructure. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.

Cookies

inetutils.com itself does not set first-party cookies beyond a theme preferencestored in your browser's localStorage (light or dark mode). This never leaves your device. Google AdSense may set third-party cookies for advertising purposes as described above.

Data Retention

We do not operate a database or store user-submitted queries, IP addresses, or results. Each tool request is processed in real time and discarded. Cloudflare may retain access logs for a limited period as part of their standard infrastructure operations.

Your Rights

Because we do not store personal data, there is generally nothing to access, correct, or delete. If you have a concern about data processed by one of the third-party services listed above, please refer to their respective privacy policies.
